Chicken shawarma recipe: Shawarma is quite popular in the Middle East, especially in Lebanon, but due to its taste, every non-veg eater eats it with great fervor. Shavarma is also called Shorama. Baked chicken pieces are marinated with curd and then rolled into beaten bread and served with tahini and mayonnaise. Although mouth watering comes on hearing the name of shawarma, but do you know that the restaurant taste of chicken shawarma can be found at home and you will not have to work too hard to make it.

Ingredients for making chicken shawarma: The chicken is grilled after marinating with boneless chicken yogurt and spices to make it. Pita bread is needed to prepare its rolls. You can serve it as an appetizer or as wraps and rolls.

Ingredients of Chicken Shawarma
8 Boneless Chicken Thais
For marination:
1/2 cup malt vinegar
1/4 yogurt
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Black pepper and salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon (powdered) celery
1 tsp all spices
For the sauce
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1/2 tsp garlic
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp passerley, sliced
Salt and pepper as per taste
For Plating:
4 medium tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
4 cups lettuce
8 beaten bread
How to make chicken shawarma
In a glass pot, mix the malt vinegar, yogurt, vegetable oil, mix spices, cardamom, salt and pepper together.
Add chicken pieces to it and mix them well in this mixture. Cover it and keep it in the fridge for 4 hours all night.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and parsley well.
Sprinkle salt and pepper in it, as per your taste. Cover and keep in the fridge.
Cover the chicken and bake the chicken for 30 minutes. Turn it once.
Cook it for 5 to 10 minutes without covering it, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
Take it out of the pot and grind it.
Add the grinded tomatoes, onions and lettuce to the beaten bread.
Roll it and serve with tahini sauce.
